Most dumpster quotes look alike until the final bill shows up. The difference is what the base price actually covers and which extra charges can be added later. Here's how to read a quote, the questions worth asking any hauler, and exactly how our own pricing works.
What Our Price Includes
Every TrashHelp North Florida roll-off is a flat-rate 7-day rental. The price covers delivery, pickup, disposal, and a set amount of weight:
12 yard: $400, 2 tons included
15 yard: $425, 2 tons included
20 yard: $525, 3 tons included
30 yard: $725, 4 tons included
We deliver same-day or next-day, and early pickup is free. If you finish in three days, call us and we'll come get it.
Charges That Can Be Added (Ours and Everyone Else's)
No hauler can promise a bill with zero extras, because some costs depend on what goes in the can. These are the ones in our rental terms, and they're the same categories to ask any company about:
Weight over the included tons. Ours is $95 per extra ton, billed from the scale ticket at the dump.
Extra days. Ours is $20 per day past the 7-day rental.
Overfilling. Debris has to stay at or below the rim. An overloaded can may carry an overload fee.
Restricted materials. Tires, appliances, paint, chemicals and similar items cost extra to handle if they end up in the load.
Blocked access. If a car or gate keeps us from dropping or picking up, a return trip may carry a fee.
Cancellation. Cancelling a booked delivery carries a cancellation fee.
We'll tell you before an extra charge is added, and the scale ticket backs up any weight charge.
Permits Are on the Customer
If the dumpster sits on your driveway or jobsite, you usually don't need a permit. If it has to go on a street or other public property, or your HOA has rules, getting that permission is your responsibility, not the hauler's. Ask your city or HOA before delivery day.
7 Questions to Ask Before You Book Any Dumpster
Is delivery and pickup included in this price for my address?
How many tons are included, and what's the charge per extra ton?
How many days does the rental include, and what does each extra day cost?
Is there a charge for early pickup?
What materials are restricted, and what's the fee if one gets in?
Do you charge for a return trip if access is blocked?
What's your cancellation policy?
A company that answers all seven on the phone isn't hiding anything. One that won't is telling you something too.
How to Avoid an Overweight Charge
Weight is the extra charge that surprises people most. Drywall, furniture and household junk are light. Concrete, brick, tile, dirt and roofing shingles are heavy, and a few yards of them can use up a can's included tonnage before it looks full.
Tell us about heavy material when you book. Concrete, dirt and brick need a quick conversation first.
For heavy loads, a smaller can that isn't filled to the top is usually cheaper than a big one filled with rubble.
Keep heavy debris separate from light debris when you can.
