Where to Dump Trash in High Springs and Alachua, FL
High Springs sits where three counties meet, so the right dump depends on which side of the river you live on. Alachua County residents use the collection center on US 441 just south of town. Across the Santa Fe in Gilchrist County, there's a county site on SR 47. Columbia County, to the north, runs its own landfill in Lake City. We're based on US 441 in High Springs and haul to all of them every week, so here's which one takes what, when they're open and what it costs. Hours are from each county's website as of October 2026.

Where to Take Construction Debris from High Springs
Drywall, lumber, shingles, flooring, cabinets and other remodeling debris can't go to any of the collection centers, and Leveda Brown only takes it from licensed haulers. If you're hauling it yourself, these are your options:
| Facility | Where | About how far | Phone |

When a Dumpster Beats a Trip to the Dump
From High Springs, every construction debris site is a 30 to 40 minute drive each way. A level pickup bed holds about 2 cubic yards, so a kitchen remodel or roof tear-off (15 to 20 yards) means 8 to 10 round trips, usually most of a week of driving.
A roll-off dumpster turns that into zero trips. Our yard is on US 441 in High Springs, so we can usually drop one the next day. You fill it over 7 days with trash and debris together, and we haul it to the right facility.
| Size | Flat price, 7 days | Weight included | About the same as |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 yard | $400 | 2 tons | 6 pickup loads |
| 15 yard | $425 | 2 tons | 7 to 8 pickup loads |
| 20 yard | $525 | 3 tons | 10 pickup loads |
| 30 yard | $725 | 4 tons | 15 pickup loads |
Extra weight is $95 per ton and extra days are $20 each. For a few bags, use a free collection center. For a project, rent a dumpster.

Where do I take an old refrigerator or AC unit from High Springs?
Alachua County residents take them to Leveda Brown in Gainesville ($25 each). Gilchrist County residents can take appliances to the main facility in Bell.
I live in Fort White or the Columbia County side. Where do I go?

Is it cheaper to rent a dumpster or haul it myself?
