Columbia County Landfill & Lake City Dump Guide
Columbia County's landfill is the Winfield Solid Waste Facility on NW Oosterhoudt Lane in Lake City. It takes household garbage, construction debris, yard trash, appliances and tires, and anyone can use it for a per-ton fee. As of October 1, 2026, the county also has a new curbside trash hauler, Ecowaste Solutions. Here's where everything goes, what it costs and when a dumpster makes more sense. Rates and hours are from Columbia County's website as of November 2026.

Ecowaste Now Handles Curbside Trash
On October 1, 2026, Ecowaste Solutions took over once-a-week household garbage and yard waste pickup in unincorporated Columbia County. Ecowaste bought Adams Sanitation, the company the county picked in its spring 2026 bid.

When a Dumpster Beats a Trip to Winfield
Winfield is cheap per ton, but the trips add up: loading, driving out Oosterhoudt Lane, waiting at the scale, unloading by hand, and doing it again. For a roof tear-off, a remodel, a shed demolition or a whole-house cleanout, a roll-off dumpster in your driveway is usually faster and cheaper once you count your time and fuel.
| Dumpster | Price | Tons included |
|---|---|---|
| 12 yard | $400 | 2 |
| 15 yard | $425 | 2 |
| 20 yard | $525 | 3 |
| 30 yard | $725 | 4 |
Every rental includes 7 days. We deliver same-day or next-day around Lake City, Fort White and the rest of Columbia County. See our Columbia County dumpster rental page, or Fort White for the south end of the county.
